Idea of the campaign Toilet

The aim of the campaign organized by CWS-boco Poland is to make people aware how important the standard of toilets is and to what extent it influences the tourists’ opinions about the country and individual locations in relation to the European football game. The campaign has been run for four years and was awarded Excellence Award 2009 and SABRE Award 2009 and 2011.

Cleanliness Patrols

As part of the campaign, the Cleanliness Patrols who are 2-people teams of educators - checked the cleanliness and standard of Polish toilets in such places as hotels, restaurants and pubs, railway stations, airports, cultural facilities etc. Just in 2010 they evaluated the standard of 400 places and conducted educational interviews there. Toilets in Poznan are the best among 4 cities, which hosts football event. The following places in city ranking are taken by: Warsaw, Wroclaw and Gdansk.

On the map, there are localizations of toilets checked by Cleanliness Patrols, recommended by users and city authorities in Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw.


Viral Where is the toilet is about searching the public toilet in Warsaw by the foreign tourist. The second one, Small talk in the queue to the toilet, is a kind of “step-by-step” tutorial for the tourists who can learn few basic questions that may be useful in the long queues to the Polish toilets. Both virals are realized in the humorous way.
